Evening all, I thought I would share my favourites and my not- so favourites from this current month.
Having seen the Original Source online a few times (I think they also have a Pineapple and Orange scent too), these are pretty good on oomph and zany coolness! Think these currently retail for about £2.
Also a similar product, this is my 3rd one! The Imperial Leather “Unicorn” Foamburst. I’m a sucker for packaging, and with everything being Unicorns still I had to try this. Smells quite subtly of Marshmallows and isn’t sickly sweet. Again probably around the £3 retail mark.
Initially looking for a matte skincare primer, but of all the ones I was looking for nothing took my fancy. Turned around and saw the Nivea Daily Essentials Moisture Boost + Matte and I was a little sceptical, due to the fact it said it left a matte look to your skin but also because it was a moisturiser and could also be used as a primer. Boy this does the job. Honestly refreshingly nice on the face and even good to apply foundation on top off too. Just enough tack to stick! Hidden jem. This was a bargain at £2.
Last but not least the Charles Worthington Salon at Home Protective Detangle Mist. I don’t use conditioner in my hair, as it’s very fine and prone to becoming oily very quickly, but also I needed some help when I have washed my hair to keep it straight and tangle free. Saw this and it was a risk purchase. It smells fresh, isn’t heavy on the spray, it is just like a mist and doesn’t weight down my hair. Bordering more than I would want to spend £5- £6.
Not sure where to start.
All of these products from this months use have all been awful and a waste of money.
Will just bullet point these to save on waffling!
- Rimmel Fix & Perfect Makeup Primer- terrible packaging, awful product, makeup didn’t stay on more than maybe 4 hours at most.
- OGX Brazilian Keratin Smooth Shampoo- apart from the nice pleasant chocolate scent this has, it clearly doesn’t work well with my thin, long hair, and leaves it feeling worse than when I went in to shower!
- Revolution Concealer NEW- I had high hopes of these new concealers due to the high amount of promotion everywhere. The shade scales are pretty good and the colour matched me well. I was c1, but that’s where it ended. After a few hours of honest wear, you could clearly see this slide and move on my face. I would say AVOID!
- Rimmel Match Perfect and Lasting Finish Foundation- both oxidise badly, terrible shade assumptions, and both do not last the stated times for wear. I love Rimmel makeup and use the mascaras constantly over other high street brands. Just foundations lately don’t seem to live up to the expectations.
