Yes’, and o God no’s!!

So I thought I would share with you what I have been loving this month, and also what I have not been loving.

The Good..

Nip + Fab Repair Bee Sting Fix Cream Deluxe

Nip + Fab has always been one of those brands that stands out for me, reason being it their products always seem to actually work! I have been using this face cream for about 3 weeks now, religiously day and night after my skincare routine. Suffice to say my face looks better. I have a deep frown line on my forehead, and it claims to smooth out the appearance of lines and wrinkles, which this has done! The condition of my skin has also improved. This is worth its weight in gold!!

MAC Fix +

MAC Fix + I think has to be said as one of the original and best ‘primer’ waters or even a refresh/ hydrating spray. Works well if you are wanting to spruce up your makeup for a nightout but not having enough time to completely re- do your makeup. Also ideal for spraying on your eyeshadow brushes before using shadows or pigments.

Lee Stafford Hair Growth Shampoo

Since having my 3rd child almost a year ago, the thickness and lack of volume in my hair has become so concerning for me that I started to look for something that would bring my hair back to life so to speak. A lot of treatments or shampoos cost around £30, which lets be honest, I wasn’t initially prepared to spend. I saw this in Boots and was a bit sceptical, but so glad I persevered with it.

It has lasted me one whole month, and in that 4 weeks my hair has become noticeably thicker, and lots of new ‘baby’ hair has started to show! So impressed. 10/10 Mr. Stafford!!

Sanctuary Spa Charcoal Shower Burst

I saw this on a YouTuber’s account, and was intrigued. Sanctuary Spa have really come full circle with their range of bath and body items, and this is no exception. Its a charcoal foam in a can basically, which immediately turns into a white shower foam, it hardly has a scent, which lets be honest is a good thing. One thing I will say, for the price of £5, it doesn’t seem to last long… I’ve used this maybe 5 times at most, and the can is almost empty… But cannot fault it, a fantastic product!

NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray

Where do I start? Love love, love this! Honestly, if you are looking for a setting spray that doesn’t cost the earth then this is it. Spray at the end of making your face up, (albeit do your mascara after this) give it a few seconds and your makeup will last all day! Honest! Fab.

The Bad.

Rimmel #Insta Fix & Go

I have to say out of all of these, the one item I have trialled this past month and HATED was the Rimmel 2- in -1 Primer and Setting Spray. It smells fresh and lovely, and would be a good refresh spray throughout the day, but as a setting spray, sadly not. It almost melted my makeup off! Avoid!

Have a good evening

Review: Sleek Makeup Distorted Dreams Highlighting Palette

Sleek’s new highlighting palette is amazing.

Look!

Distorted Dreams

Distorted Dreams Highlighting Palette

This palette has 5 unique standout colours, including 2 powder highlighters which are similar to a gold and a pink, and 3 cream based highlighters which are also in pink (pale), purple (more iridescent in the natural light), and light green/ yellow.

All go on to the skin incredibly well and can be used either boldly on the cheekbones, brow bone and cupids bow, or sparingly on the shoulders or décolletage.

The choice is yours!

My favourite lip products (NYX)

I swear, that literally this last year or so NYX Professional Makeup have exploded immensely with their makeup, even more so with their lip products.

I have never really been a fan of lip products, as the shape of my mouth isn’t really what I call ‘attractive’, so have always steered clear of anything dramatic or bright.

Then I saw these…

l-r NYX Butter Gloss in Madeleine, Soft Matte Lip Cream in Rome and Abu Dhabi

They both go on really well, the colour pigment of the lip cream is amazing, and honestly lasts a fair few hours wear.

Rome, Madeleine and Abu Dhabi

I picked mine up from my local Boots stores, but they sell online too and do not cost a lot, these were £5.50 and £6.00 each.

Have a great evening

REVIEW: NYX Professional Makeup Micro Brow Pencil

My first ever brow product was a very old Rimmel one, and I think it is still lurking around somewhere in one of my bags hanging in my wardrobe…

Moving on a fair few years, and I have tried many various different products to achieve that well groomed brow look.

I think I have finally found what I have been looking for…

This!

nyx brows

NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Espresso £8.00

I have to add that, prior to me finding this one, I was splurging on the Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) Brow Wiz £15.50 which is identical to this one, and double the price!

Worth its weight, its simply amazing!

BUDGET/ BLOWOUT: Liz Earle vs. Nspa

I thought I would do one of these reviews, a comparison you could say.

Short, and to the point!

Here goes…

IMG_0720.JPG

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

POSITIVES

  1. It is one of the most recognised products out there at the moment
  2. Decent sized product. Mine is 150ml
  3. Smells clean and fresh. No off putting smell
  4. Pump is easy to use, does not leak either
  5. Widely available
  6. High reviews
  7. Takes make up and grime off incredibly easily, and your skin does feel clean
  8. Does not leave my skin shiny afterwards nor red and and inflamed.

NEGATIVES

  1. Price. The 100ml starts at around £15.50 rising to £26 for a 200ml.
  2. The product states to use the pump twice over each time morning and night. You go through this quite quickly I have found. No biggie.

IMG_0723.JPG

Nspa Hot Cloth Polish

POSTIVES

  1. The price. Pretty amazing – this is £4.50!
  2. Decent amount as well, mine is 150ml
  3. Found the product takes off makeup and grime very well, could not fault

NEGATIVES

  1. Smell. Not a bad smell, just not really a pleasant smell, bit off.
  2. Pump, is pretty rubbish, takes a lot of effort to get the product out

MY VERDICT

So after using both items over 2 months, ( I did have to purchase another bottle of each), I have to say that to find one that is ultimately better than the other hard.

Both claim to cleanse the skin, lightly exfoliate and purify your skin, which I do believe they do. They contain pretty much similar ingredients and both are supplied with a muslin cloth.

I give Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish 9/10

and

I give Nspa Hot Cloth Polish 7/10

I would defiantly recommend ladies that you go out and try the Nspa one for yourselves and see!

Cannot fault my holy grail Cleanse and Polish.
