Recipe: Brownie Crisps

* This has been taken from Green & Blacks Organic Ultimate Chocolate Recipes The New Collection.*

So this is the second instalment from this Green & Blacks book, didn’t really see any point to these, as they are incredible delicate, but they taste amazing!

Makes approx 30- i made 25 larger ones!

Ingredients

  • 110g unsalted butter
  • 50g dark chocolate (85% cocoa solids)
  • 1 tsp instant coffee
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extra
  • 1/4 salt
  • 30g plain flour

75g walnut pieces- which I didn’t use due to a nut allergy.

Method

Preheat oven to 180c and either grease a 40 x 25cm tin or line with baking paper.

Melt the butter in a saucepan until fully melted then take off the heat.

Add the chocolate and mix with a rubber spatula.

Add the coffee, egg, sugar and vanilla, mix well.

Add the salt and flour.

Again mix well and the pour the mixture out into the tin and make sure this is all even.

Bake in oven for 15 mins and rotate halfway through.

Remove from oven once cooked and (I used a pizza cutter), cut the brownies and leave to cool slightly.

Carefully remove and lay out on a baking tray to fully cool down.

Wonderful!
